The Online Journal of Martial Arts

Our Aim

The main purpose of this site is to provide an honest, straightforward resource for serious practitioners looking for information, and to fight the mass marketing trend that has turned the martial arts into a joke. We are tired of 10 year old black belts and point sparring giving those of us that train seriously a bad name, thus we hope to be of help to both seasoned practitioners and beginners alike. We are not concerned about political correctness or being the "nice guy", we are about realism, period.

Articles

The content of most of our articles is realistic fighting and training methods, both information and opinion oriented. We do hope to eventually have a wider variety of reading material, however, the main purpose of this site will always be realistic fighting and training, hence most of our articles will be geared towards those topics. We will also endeavour to expose fraudulent instructors and systems, as well as dispelling those silly myths that are so often associated with martial arts. If you have an article you would like us to consider displaying, please by all means visit the contact page.

Links

We urge all visitors to our site to look at our links page. Here you will find the best of what the internet has to offer in terms of realistic self defence, articles by leading instructors, videos of real life fights, and other resources with goals similar to ours.

Reviews

Reviews on books, dvds, and other media. Have a review you would like us to post? By all means, drop us a line. Reviews will generally be confined to intstructional or historical books and dvds.
